The Mechanical Engineering Department was established in the year 1998.The Department offers 4 year B.E Degree course in Mechanical Engineering and 2 year Master Degree programme in CAD/CAM and Engineering Design. Due to Infrastructure, Facilities and Faculty, the Department has secured Anna University Permanent Affiliation in the year 2005 – 2006.
The development of new composite materials and welding technology enhance the manufacturers to survive in this present competitive environment. It will certainly help the society in various aspects of Engineering and Technology.
Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology (SKCET), Coimbatore was established in the year 1998 for providing quality technical education to the young minds of the state. The amazing world class campus of SKCET was established in the Golden Jubilee year of Indian Independence with 180 students. It is run by Sri Krishna Institutions along with five other Educational Institutions and it is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and approved by AICTE. The adorable campus is located in NH47 highway, just 3 kms from the heart of the city. The college was granted Autonomous status since the year 2011 due to its significant growth in short span of time.
