GLIDER MODELING
Rules
• Chuck gliders are expected.
• Rubber bands or slings can be used for launching.
• Based on the number of participants, trials may be conducted in one or more rounds and the same will be intimated to the participants at the time of the competition.
MATERIAL TO BE USED:
• Material Shall Not Be Provided.
• Paper Cardboard or Balsa Wood only should be used.
• Readymade kits are not allowed. If found, the team is liable to be expended from the event and entry fee shall not be refunded.
DIMENSIONS OF THE MODEL:
1. Aspect Ratio = 9 to 10.
2. Wing Span = 250 to 300cm.
3. Length Of Fuselage = 65% to 75% of span
4. The fuselage might be slotted or without slotted.
POINTS TALLY:
• The flight of the model should take a proper projectile path and the points will be awarded accordingly to the distance covered and the distance will be considered from the point of launch to the point where the model had its first impact on the ground.
• Landing of the model will be considered and points will be awarded more for soft landing and less for hard landing, accordingly.
• The decision of the judges would be final and binding. NOTE: The coordinators of the event Reserve the right to change any or all the above rules according to the necessity.
