Task

• Team have to build an autonomous robot which can follow black line on a white surface Bot specification
• The autonomous bot must fit into the box of dimension 200 mm×220 mm×220 mm.
• Bot must be started individually by only one switch. However, a team may have one on-board switch for restart. This switch has to be shown to the organiser before the run.
• Bot is not allowed to leave anything behind or make any marks while traversing the grid. Any bot found damaging the arena will be immediately disqualified. The final decision is at the discretion of the organisers.
• Bot must have an on-board power supply.
• When using the electric power supply, the voltage at any point on an individual component must be lower than or equal to 15 V DC at any point of time during the game.
• Bot cannot be constructed using readymade Lego kits or any readymade mechanism. But, they can make use of readymade gear assemblies. Violating this clause will lead to disqualification of the team.
• The starting procedure of the bot should be simple and should not involve giving the bot any manual force or impulse in any direction.

Controls

• The bot must be completely autonomous.
• It should not receive any inputs from outside the arena.

Rules

• The teams will have to submit their bot to the organisers before the start of the competition. Only those teams which submit their bots will be allowed to participate. They will be given 2 minutes to do any hardware changes and calibration of the bot if they wish.
• At the start of the task, the bot will be placed at the starting point. Only 1 member from the team is allowed to be near the game field while starting the bot.
• Timer will start when the organiser gives the signal to start.
• The LEDs should be strictly of high intensity and visible to naked eye.

General Rules

• Only 1 member of the team is allowed to handle the bot.
• Participants are not allowed to keep anything inside the arena other than the bot.
• Laptops/personal computers are not allowed near the arena. Other Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. devices must be switched off. The organisers hold the right to check for these devices and their usage and disqualify the team if needed.
• The time measured by the organisers will be final and will be used for scoring the teams.
• Time measured by any contestant by any other means is not acceptable for scoring. • In case of any disputes/discrepancies, the organiser's decision will be final and binding.
• Note that at any point of time, the latest information will be that which is on the site. The information provided in the pdf downloaded earlier may not be the latest. However, registered participants will be informed through mail about any such changes.

Team Specification

• A team may consist of (a maximum of) 4 participants. Students from different educational institutes can form a team.
• All students with a valid identity card of their respective educational institutes are eligible to participate in the event.

Certificate Policy

• The top 3 teams emerging from this competition will be awarded a Certificate of Excellence.
• Certificate of participation would be awarded to all the eligible participants.

The Game

Round 1: selection round Description: the bot has to prove the line following ability by simply travels through the arena which have sharp 90 turn, smooth curves, zig zag etc…

Round 2:
fast and furious Description: bot has to be tested for its speed capability which is concluded by time taken by the bot to complete the given arena.
Game play: • Bot has to start from the start point.
• Bot has to travels through the given arena.
• At the end of the path there will be a black surface of dimension of 200mm x 80 mm (l x b).
• Bot has to detect this path terminal and glows green led.
• Time taken for the bot to complete the arena is noted by the organizer.
