Rules:

Challenge


Come up with a manually controlled ROBOT which should travel the given path with minimum time. The path is stuffed with various obstacles (meant for reducing the robot’s speed). If u think your BOT can do this, ”YOU ARE MOST WELCOME”.

Robot Specification


1) The maximum dimension of the robot can be 30 x 30 cm (l x b).

2) The robot may be wired or wireless.

3) The length of the wire (for wired bots) should be long enough to cover the whole track and wire should remain in a single slack during the complete run.

4) Max weight of the robot must not exceed 6 kg.

5) The power supply will be provided maximum up to 12Volt.

6) Readymade toys car are not allowed.

7) The robot should be electrically actuated. Usage of engines and any other form of chemicals are prohibited.

General Rules


1) The ROBOT which consumes lesser time for achieving the target will win.

2) Event registration fee Rs.400 per team.

3) A team can have a maximum of four members. Students from different colleges/institutions can form a team.

4) Robot should be as per the given specifications.

5) Each member of the team must contain the valid identity card of his/her college/institution.

6) The robot should not damage the arena.

7) The robot must not leave behind any of its parts during the run, this leads to disqualification.

8) Unethical behavior of participants leads to disqualification of the corresponding team. Faculty-coordinators have all the rights to take Final decision on any matter during the event.

9) Judge's decision will be considered as final.

10) Certificates will be given to all the participants.

Arena


1) Track width is 40 cm.

2) The track surface and course line will be uneven.

3) There might be abrupt angles with the maximum of 300.

4) There will be certain obstacles in the race track (say, wet mud) which will try to slow down the robot.

5) Major changes will be notified on the website.

6) Arena will consist of switch gate, speed breakers, marble pit, slippery path, rotating disc, sudden down, seesaw, balloon pit, slotted ramp etc.

Pahse in the Event


1) Each team is allowed to practice in the arena once.

2) The competition is based on time trial system.

3) There may be a qualifying round for each team.

4) The top team from qualifying round makes it to the final round on basis of time trials.

5) Five hand touches are allowed with penalty of 10 seconds. For each hand touch, penalty time will be added further to overall time required by robot for completion of specified round.

6) If any of the robots starts off before start up call, the counter would be restated and the machines will get a second chance. If repeated again then team will be disqualified.

7) Your robot must be ready when call is made for your team.

8) Machine must not contain any readymade kits, pneumatic & hydraulic systems, IC engines.

9) Decision about your robot will be taken by the organizers.

10) All about final round will be notified on the final day.
