About the Department
The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The department offers a Four-year BE degree Programme in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) accredited by National Board of Accreditation and 2 year PG Programme in Power Electronics and Drives. It motivates the students towards technical excellence and towards creating a career that grows mutually with the society. The department is equipped with the latest technology and exposes the students to industrial trends enabling them to interact efficiently with the industry during and after their courses. The department has various associations for technical and non-technical activities that keep the students away from being book worms. It integrates the capability of the students with the eminent knowledge of the faculty to foster research and innovation within the campus.

The students association of the department of EEE – ILLUMINATI functions with the sole motivation of enlightening the students with the technologies and trends of the universe. It has a marky reputation for conducting various technical and non-technical events among the students. The association has set the students ablaze with some remarkable lectures from renowned speakers across the country and workshops from industrial experts. We celebrate technology, foster innovation and knowledge is our bliss.
Interested in innovating and exploring, the illuminatis always take pride in making the world a better place to live in, with the aid of technology. The motivation is to take technology to every common man and the association has ably functioned in directing the members towards this goal.
In pursuing the goal further and extending it to the scientific fraternity, illuminati is pleased to conduct the first ever National Level Technical Symposium Epiphany'12 where we bring together a flock of self-motivated and knowledge driven engineers to reassure their stand as the engineering master mind in the battle of the best brains of the nation.
The College
The college was started in 1998, with 180 students, 18 staff and 4 branches of B,E.. In a short time span it has grown in size and stature and has present more than 2515 students are studying in 6 branches of B.E., B.Tech., M.E., MCA, M.Sc (Software Engineering), M.Sc (Computer Technology), MBA, B.Sc. Information Technology and B.Sc Computer Technology. To meet the rise in the student's strength, the faculty strength has also risen to 175. There is a good team of supporting staff to assist the departmental work. The college has already carved a niche amongst the public, AICTE, DOTE and the university.

Situated at Sugunapuram in Kuniamuthur. The campus is 1 km off the NH 47 connecting Coimbatore and Palakkad and 3 km's off the NH 209 connecting Coimbatore and Pollachi. 8 Km's from the Coimbatore Railway Station 12 Kms from the Central Bus Station, Gandhipuram 18 Km's from the Airport And well connected by city buses and mini-buses
