The College
About: The college was started in 1998, with 180 students, 18 staff and 4 branches of BE. In a short time span it has grown in size and stature and has, presently more than 5500 students studying in 7 branches - B.E., B Tech., M.E., MCA, M.Sc. (Software Engineering), M.Sc. (Computer Technology), MBA. In Order To meet the rise in the student's strength, the faculty strength has also been risen to 175. There is a good team of supporting staff to assist the departmental work. The college has already carved a niche amongst the public, AICTE, DOTE and the university.
About the Department
The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The department offers a Four-year BE degree Programme in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) accredited by National Board of Accreditation and 2 year PG Programme in Power Electronics and Drives. It motivates the students towards technical excellence and towards creating a career that grows mutually with the society. The department is equipped with the latest technology and exposes the students to industrial trends enabling them to interact efficiently with the industry during and after their courses. The department has various associations for technical and non-technical activities that keep the students away from being book worms. It integrates the capability of the students with the eminent knowledge of the faculty to foster research and innovation within the campus.
